Missed: gone before you could act

A missed offer is one that came and went while you weren't in a position to respond — the notification came in, but by the time anyone looked, another driver had already claimed it. There's nothing to do about a missed offer after the fact except learn from the pattern: if you're consistently missing offers at a certain time of day, that's a sign your reaction window is too slow for how competitive that window is.

Skipped: passed over on purpose (by rule or by you)

A skipped offer is different — it was seen and deliberately passed, either because it didn't clear your own filters (pay too low, too many stops, outside your distance range) or because you manually declined it. Skipped offers are often still reclaimable for a short window, which is the key practical difference: a skipped offer might still be worth a second look if your filters were slightly too strict.

Why the distinction matters for your filters

• A high missed count usually means a speed problem — offers you'd want are getting claimed by someone faster before you even see them.
• A high skipped count usually means a filter-tuning problem — check whether the offers being skipped were actually close to your floor and worth loosening a rule for.
• Reclaim quickly. Skipped offers that are still open don't stay open long either — if you spot one worth taking, treat the reclaim window the same way you'd treat a fresh offer.

Reading your own history

Checking the Accepted, Missed, and Skipped tabs side by side once a week gives you a much clearer picture than gut feel. If missed keeps climbing, the fix is speed. If skipped keeps climbing near your floor, the fix is loosening a number slightly. Guessing which one is happening, without looking, is how a lot of drivers end up leaving money on the table without noticing.
